Hey, you, get off that couch!

Hey, you, get off that couch!

Need some exercise, but also lacking the motivation to get off the couch? Get a group together for an exercise session …

  • Organising a group exercise session outdoors is easy. Let’s face it, most of us need a good kick to put on our sneakers, so take the lead and convene a few friends for: a brisk neighbourhood walk with hand weights; a jog along a local running route; a game of tip footy, soccer or cricket in the park; or a hit of tennis. Get them excited by sending out one of our sporty invites.
  • Got children? Try allocating your exercise session as your weekend ‘me-time’ and leave the kids with your partner. If that’s not an option, join a mums and bubs class, or make it a family affair – after all, you only need two on each side for a mini game of soccer!
  • Oh, and because you’re exercising in public spaces, most of these ideas are free, so there are no gym fees to worry about. Head to www.whereis.com to plan your exercise route or find your nearest park.
