Valentine’s Day usually sparks a whole heap of proposals around the country so we thought we’d share some beautiful styling inspiration that would be perfect for a hen’s party or kitchen tea/bridal shower. We were inspired by these gorgeous little party favours, put together by Stylist Andrea Fraga of Dolce Drive. With a little creativity you can create this feminine and glamorous little number at home!
-
Here’s what we love about these decorations/flavours and some thoughts on how you can re-create the look yourself:
-
- The vibrant base – striking stripes! Use little popcorn holders or little plastic/cardboard food pails. Fill with yummy goodies like your favourite lollies (probably better than chocolates of the weather is warm).
- If you’re not into lollies, put together a little party survival pack and fill the base with things like mints, tissues, panadol, travel size deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste!
- Exploding tissue paper – Has a striking impact. Combine 1 plain layer with a patterned layer for extra fun
- Personalised name tags make these extra special. All you need is some coloured cardboard, some scissors and glue and you’re off. Hand write a little message to make these gifts truly personalised
- Wrapped in a gorgeous ribbon – Your local Spotlight will have a great range you can choose from.
-
These goodies will look amazing on a plain white tablecloth and can take the role of place card, gift and table decorations. Have you created any extra special party goodies yourself? We’d love to hear about them and share photos on the site with others. Email support@myinvites.com.au and tell us about it!
