The dress: Be an A-list star for the day in a sexy, show-stopper gown in a slinky fabric – a low back, plunging neckline or bias-cut style will dazzle your groom and guests. Details such as an amazing jewelled brooch at the bust or on the waist will add to the glam factor.

• The flowers: Understated yet stunning. Try flowers that can be carried as single stems – for example, beautiful phalaenopsis orchids or magnolias. An arm sheaf of calla lilies or long-stemmed roses is another stylish option.
• The cars: Stretch limousines, baby! Make sure the car hire company has a red carpet to roll out on your arrival to really up the A-list factor. You could also have fun by piling the bridal party into Hummers and turning up the tunes to get the party started on the way to the reception.
